I like old. It’s charming and it forgives so much, especially in Italy.

    • You said it Debra! I could have posted a pic of an old signore or signora to the same effect I think, don’t you?

      • I love the old people in Italy, they have such dignity.

This is such a lovely picture!!! I LOVE old and distressed and worn. Such character to this window. I’m dying to know what’s inside, Janine.

    • Thanks very much Jann! I know we share a special love of the worn out and distressed! That and looking into other people’s windows…all in the name of blogging of course! xx

Janine, so glad you, “LIKE OLD”, thats me, Molto Vecchio, in Italia.,that mail is in the making!!!.

    • O brian, but old in Italy isn’t the same as old anywhere else…. Things really do get better with age. You’re living proof, I’d say! ;-)

    • Me too! Old pots, new life…. and so it goes…xx

Why is it that old looks so charming in some places (notably Italy) and just looks run down in others? It’s one of life’s great mysteries!

    • Shelagh, my sentiments exactly….. But don’t the Italians just have the edge in just about everything? Old is just another thing they do with style. And without even thinking too much about it!

Uh that crumbling paint, I miss this old place, I want to be back there.

  5. Old comes with life – old comes with a baggage of stories.
And when lived right, old has so much to offer.
Old always has a second chance – it travels from place to place through the memories of people….
